Violet Willis is the Co-Owner with her husband of one of the last New England Village farms. 


Kilby Ridge Farm raises only Heirloom open pollinated produce, Heritage Poultry and Icelandic sheep for Meat and fiber.  Kilby Ridge Farm's greenhouse and multiple garden plots provide two buying clubs, farmers markets, retail establishments and schools, produce year round. 

As a local food activist,  Violet supports the right of consumers and farmers to engage in direct sales without the interference of government regulation.  A graduate of Central Michigan University with an BS in Political Science (1991),  Violet worked on Capitol Hill for two years for the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.  That led to working for the National Rifle Association as a Program Coordinator for Membership Division as a grassroots organizer for over 250 Shows and Exhibits as well as coordinating the "Shot Show" in Las Vegas until 1994. 

As an army wife for 6 years living in posts from Arizona, New Jersey and Europe, she finally settled into life in Northern Virginia for 10 years and became a small business owner selling high end Antique Costume and Textiles worldwide with clients ranging from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the Hermitage in Russia.  Violet and her family moved to Maine over 6 years ago and most recently facilitated the Ron Paul 2012 Campaign as Coordinator for Washington County and is Currently the MEGOP Committee Member of Dennysville and State Committeewoman for Washington County. 

Violet has been married to Mark for 19 years and has two children, Declan 13 and Brynne 4.
